Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to a multi-property engineering team, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and operational excellence across all facilities.
• Operational Oversight: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and enhancement of hotel properties, including HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure, plumbing, and structural integrity, to maintain high standards of safety, functionality, and guest satisfaction.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of engineering professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage annual budgets for property maintenance, capital improvements, and operational expenses, ensuring cost-effective and sustainable resource allocation.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to local, regional, and international regulations, including health, safety, and environmental standards, to mitigate risks and uphold corporate responsibility.
• Technology Integration: Champion the adoption of innovative engineering technologies and systems to enhance operational efficiency, sustainability, and guest experience.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including property management, finance, and procurement, to align engineering initiatives with broader business objectives and guest expectations.
• Performance Monitoring: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track engineering department efficiency, guest feedback, and property condition, driving data-driven decision-making and continuous enhancement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CFM) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a multi-property or large-scale hospitality environment.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of building systems, maintenance protocols, and industry best practices. Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead diverse teams, manage complex projects, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and foster a culture of teamwork and innovation.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical mindset with the capacity to troubleshoot technical challenges and implement sustainable solutions.
