Director of Engineering

The Director of Engineering is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of multiple buildings, grounds, and physical plants, with a strong focus on safety, security, and asset protection. This role involves managing budgets, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation initiatives to maximize financial performance while meeting or exceeding guest and employee expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the emergency response team for facility issues.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining property life safety systems.
• Managing engineering operations and budgets, including controllable expenses and capital expenditure projects.
• Developing and implementing strategies that align with the property's business strategy.
• Overseeing long-term preventative maintenance and asset protection plans.
• Coaching and supporting engineering leadership teams to achieve departmental goals.

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, with 6 years of experience in engineering and maintenance, or a 2-year degree in a related field with 4 years of experience. Technical training in HVAC-R, Electrical, or Plumbing is required.
