Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations by performing a variety of accounting duties under general supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a keen eye for detail, enabling them to prepare accurate financial reports, analyze complex accounting transactions, and resolve discrepancies efficiently. Responsibilities include:

• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and review accounting reports, including financial statements, spreadsheets, and analyses, ensuring compliance with US GAAP or country-specific accounting standards. Identify trends, variances, and potential risks to support data-driven decision-making.
• Journal Entries and Transactions: Accurately prepare and post journal vouchers for accounting transactions, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to internal controls. Research and resolve accounting issues to maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Internal Controls and Compliance: Understand and apply the company’s business systems, processes, and controls, including policies and procedures relevant to the assigned location and department. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
• Financial Forecasting and Planning: Assist in the development of financial forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans by providing accurate data and insights. Contribute to the identification of cost-saving opportunities and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning to expand your knowledge of general accounting, financial analysis, reporting, and industry-specific practices. Leverage company resources and training programs to enhance your expertise and advance your career within the organization.

Qualifications and Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum of nine (9) months of hands-on experience in accounting-related roles, with exposure to general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of US GAAP or country-specific accounting principles, as well as proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel). Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify discrepancies, and propose solutions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels. Strong interpersonal skills to foster productive relationships with colleagues and departments.
• Adaptability and Initiative: Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
