Key Responsibilities

The Rigger I will be responsible for a wide range of rigging operations, including but not limited to:

• Load Analysis and Rigging Configuration: Accurately assess load weight, center of gravity, and dimensions to determine the appropriate rigging hardware and crane configuration. Ensure all rigging plans comply with client and company safety procedures.
• Safety and Compliance: Implement and enforce rigging safety protocols in accordance with Saudi Aramco’s General Instructions (GI 7.025, GI 7.026, GI 7.027, GI 7.028, GI 7.029, GI 7.030) and the Construction Safety Manual (CSM), including sections III-7 and III-8.
• Equipment Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct thorough pre-use inspections of all rigging equipment to identify defects or potential hazards. Ensure proper identification, calculation, and documentation of lift arrangements and capacities.
• Lifting Operations: Approve and execute detailed lifting plans, ensuring both rigging and loads are protected during lifts. Utilize proper center of gravity (COG) calculations and select appropriate hitches to secure and control loads, including tandem lifts, man-baskets, and critical lift operations.
• Communication and Coordination: Collaborate effectively with rigging and construction teams to ensure seamless execution of lifting plans. Utilize correct hand signaling and radio communication to maintain load control and operational safety.
• Leadership and Teamwork: Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and act as a team player, fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment. Contribute to the continuous improvement of rigging processes and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Certification: Hold an Aramco-approved Rigger Level 1 certification.
• Experience: Possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in rigging operations, preferably within the energy or construction sector.
• Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep understanding of rigging hardware configuration, crane load charts, and lifting plans. Proficiency in calculating sling sizes, load capacities, and center of gravity is essential.
• Safety Awareness: A strong commitment to safety protocols and a proven track record of adhering to industry standards and regulations.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely to team members and stakeholders.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights in various weather conditions.
