Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Experience Excellence: Deliver warm, professional, and personalized service to every guest, ensuring their beverage experience exceeds expectations. Engage thoughtfully to understand preferences and recommend tailored beverage and food pairings that align with their tastes.
• Beverage Preparation & Service: Prepare and serve a diverse range of beverages, including coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, fresh juices, mocktails, and specialty offerings, following established recipes and presentation standards. Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and related equipment with precision to ensure consistency and quality in every cup.
• Product Knowledge & Expertise: Maintain an in-depth understanding of coffee origins, brewing methods, and beverage trends to provide insightful recommendations and educate guests. Stay updated on industry developments to enhance the beverage offerings and guest experience.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure workstations, counters, and service areas are immaculately clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times. Conduct thorough opening and closing procedures in accordance with departmental standards to maintain operational efficiency and readiness.
• Inventory & Waste Management: Monitor inventory levels closely and communicate replenishment requirements to supervisors to prevent stockouts. Implement stock rotation practices following FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures to ensure freshness and minimize wastage.
• Compliance & Safety: Adhere rigorously to all food safety, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points), and sanitation standards to uphold the highest levels of hygiene and compliance. Maintain personal grooming and hygiene in alignment with brand guidelines and ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained according to manufacturer specifications.
• Team Collaboration & Adaptability: Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to support seamless operations and deliver a cohesive guest experience. Adapt to changing priorities and guest demands with agility and professionalism.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education & Experience: Professional Barista certification is preferred. Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Barista in a luxury hotel, premium café, restaurant, or hospitality environment is required. Prior experience in specialty coffee preparation and espresso-based beverages is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in coffee preparation techniques, including latte art, and a deep understanding of brewing methods. Familiarity with beverage trends and the ability to craft innovative and visually appealing drinks.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional guest service and communication abilities, with a natural aptitude for building rapport and anticipating needs. Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-energy environment.
