Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, evaluating, and optimizing process systems within oil, gas, and water treatment facilities. Key Responsibilities

The Process Engineer will play a central role in the development and maintenance of process systems, including separation, dehydration, gas compression, and injection systems. Your core responsibilities will encompass:

• Process Design and Evaluation: Design and evaluate process systems tailored to oil, gas, and water treatment applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Process Simulation and Documentation: Conduct detailed process simulations and develop essential engineering documents, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification: Lead and participate in hazard identification and risk assessment studies, such as HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) and HAZID (Hazard Identification Study), to mitigate potential risks and enhance safety protocols.
• Operational Support: Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams during critical phases, including startup, shutdown, and turnaround activities, ensuring smooth and efficient execution.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze plant performance data to identify opportunities for improvement, enhancing efficiency, throughput, and environmental sustainability while minimizing operational costs.
• Troubleshooting and Corrective Actions: Diagnose process-related issues and implement effective corrective measures to restore optimal operations and prevent recurrence.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to industry standards (API, ASME, ISO), environmental regulations, and safety guidelines, maintaining the highest levels of operational integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and other engineering disciplines to integrate process solutions seamlessly into broader project frameworks.
• Technical Contribution to Projects: Provide expert technical input during the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed engineering phases, contributing to the successful execution of projects from conception to completion.
• Audit and Incident Management: Participate in audits, incident investigations, and performance reviews to identify systemic issues, implement preventive measures, and drive continuous improvement.
• Mentorship and Training: Mentor junior engineers and operational staff, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in process engineering within the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years dedicated to offshore or onshore production facilities.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of process engineering principles and proficiency in industry-standard simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, and Pipesim.
• Safety and Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with offshore safety systems, including Emergency Shutdown (ESD), High Integrity Pressure Protection Systems (HIPPS), and Fire & Gas (F&G) systems, as well as a comprehensive understanding of international codes and standards (API, NORSOK, ISO).
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Offshore Readiness: Willingness and ability to work in offshore environments, including compliance with rotation schedules and adherence to offshore safety protocols such as BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) and HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training), where applicable.
