Key Responsibilities

• Leadership and Team Management: Provide strategic direction and mentorship to a team of electrical engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensure alignment with company goals and industry best practices.
• Electrical System Design and Implementation: Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems in farming facilities, including power distribution, automation, and control systems. Ensure compliance with local and international safety and regulatory standards.
• Project Management: Plan, execute, and monitor electrical engineering projects within the farming division, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and adherence to quality benchmarks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with other operational technologies.
• Innovation and Sustainability: Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, such as renewable energy systems and energy-efficient solutions, to enhance operational sustainability and reduce environmental impact. Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost savings through technological advancements.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all electrical systems and processes comply with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Implement robust risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards and ensure workplace safety.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between the engineering team and senior management, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and strategic initiatives. Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project execution.
• Budget and Resource Optimization: Develop and manage the electrical engineering budget, allocating resources efficiently to maximize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Monitor expenditures and identify areas for financial optimization.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role within the agricultural, industrial, or related sectors.
• Proven expertise in electrical system design, power distribution, automation, and control systems, with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring of large-scale engineering projects.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
• In-depth knowledge of renewable energy systems, energy efficiency, and sustainable practices is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in industry-specific software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, SCADA) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
