Key Responsibilities

The Director of Finance will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction of the property by performing the following duties and responsibilities:

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Champion the development and implementation of financial strategies that enhance profitability, optimize resource allocation, and support the brand’s service objectives. Conduct thorough cost-benefit analyses, explore new business opportunities, and identify avenues for revenue growth.
• Budgeting and Financial Planning: Lead the creation of the annual operating budget, ensuring alignment with the property’s and brand’s strategic goals. Analyze financial data, monitor actual performance against projections, and provide actionable insights to improve budgetary efficiency. Identify variances between forecasted and actual expenses, particularly in labor costs, to enhance financial planning accuracy.
• Financial Analysis and Reporting: Deliver comprehensive financial analysis to support informed decision-making, including market trend assessments and risk evaluations. Develop and implement robust financial controls to safeguard assets, enhance operational efficiency, and maximize profitability.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire the finance team by fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and excellence. Communicate strategic goals and priorities clearly to team members, ensuring alignment with the property’s objectives. Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback to drive team success.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and executive committee, offering strategic financial guidance on critical business decisions. Collaborate with property owners, corporate leadership, and key stakeholders to understand their priorities and deliver tailored financial solutions. Present complex financial concepts in an accessible manner to influence decision-making and drive desired outcomes.
• Audit and Compliance: Oversee internal, external, and regulatory audit processes to ensure compliance with financial standards and mitigate risks. Implement and maintain a strong control environment that enhances operational integrity and transparency.
• Cash Flow Management: Demonstrate a deep understanding of cash flow dynamics and owner priorities to optimize liquidity and financial stability. Provide ongoing support to operations by producing accurate financial forecasts that enable proactive responses to changing business conditions.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following educational and professional requirements:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of three years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or a related field is essential. Candidates with a master’s degree may substitute one year of experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel capabilities is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with exceptional attention to detail, are critical.

Work Environment and Location

This full-time, on-site position is based at our prestigious property located at Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Street, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Director of Finance will report directly to the General Manager and collaborate closely with the executive committee to shape the financial strategy of the property.
