Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Finance to lead the financial operations of our premier property in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role will serve as the financial steward of the property, driving long-term profitability, operational excellence, and alignment with the brand’s strategic vision. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of financial acumen, leadership prowess, and a results-driven mindset to foster sustainable growth while maximizing return on investment. This position is based at our prestigious location on Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Street and offers a full-time, on-site management opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement property-wide financial strategies that enhance profitability, optimize cost structures, and support the brand’s service objectives. Conduct thorough cost-benefit analyses, identify new business opportunities, and align financial planning with the property’s operational goals.
• Budgeting and Financial Planning: Spearhead the creation of the annual operating budget, ensuring alignment with corporate and brand directives. Monitor actual financial performance against projections, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to improve efficiency and productivity. Implement robust financial controls to mitigate risks and safeguard assets.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing finance team by fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and collaboration. Communicate strategic financial goals clearly, delegate responsibilities effectively, and conduct regular performance evaluations to drive team excellence. Oversee audit processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Act as the primary financial advisor to the General Manager and executive leadership, presenting complex financial data in a clear and persuasive manner. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including property owners, corporate teams, and operational departments, to align financial strategies with business objectives. Advocate for sound financial decision-making across all levels of the organization.
• Market Analysis and Forecasting: Monitor industry trends, economic conditions, and competitive landscapes to inform financial strategies. Generate accurate forecasts that enable proactive decision-making and support the property’s ability to adapt to changing market dynamics.
• Operational Excellence: Implement systems and processes that enhance financial transparency, streamline operations, and improve profitability. Identify cost-saving initiatives and productivity enhancements to drive operational efficiency and shareholder value.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate a strong foundation in finance and accounting, coupled with proven leadership experience in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a master’s degree in Finance or Accounting with at least one year of professional experience will be considered. Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and strategic planning is essential, as is the ability to communicate financial insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
