The Role: Managing Investments Associate

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Managing Investments Associate (with mandatory CME1 and CME4 certifications) to assume full ownership of portfolio construction, fund operations, and counterparty management from day one. This role reports directly to the CEO, offering a unique opportunity to make an immediate and meaningful impact on the business. What You Will Own

• Counterparty Management:
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with external partners, including fund houses, custodians, distribution platforms, and global asset managers.
  • Coordinate and execute operational workflows across counterparties to ensure seamless handling of subscriptions, redemptions, and capital calls.
  • Act as Miza’s primary point of contact for routine operational and investment-related inquiries from partners.
• Portfolio Construction & Screening:
  • Collaborate with the investment team to evaluate and screen funds, fund managers, and investment strategies for inclusion in client portfolios.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive investment universe, including due diligence documentation, comparative analyses, and fee benchmarking.
  • Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and perform rebalancing analyses to optimize client portfolios.
• Investment Writing:
  • Draft investment memos, fund summaries, market commentaries, and client-facing investment notes to communicate complex investment concepts clearly.
  • Translate technical investment content between English and Arabic to ensure consistency and accessibility in client communications.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and consistency across all investment documentation.
• Fund Operations & Dealing:
  • Support trade execution across various asset classes, including funds, equities, and fixed income.
  • Reconcile positions, confirmations, and settlements in collaboration with the operations team.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal investment processes as Miza scales its operations.

Your performance will be evaluated based on the accuracy and timeliness of counterparty operations, the quality and consistency of investment documentation, your contributions to portfolio construction and screening, and your reliability in managing fund operations as Miza scales. Your Ideal Profile

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in asset management, wealth management, private banking, or investment operations.
• Mandatory possession of CME1 and CME4 certifications.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• Exceptional attention to detail and comfort working with numerical data, fund documentation, and reconciliations.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance real workflows, rather than merely using them for drafting purposes.
• Bonus qualifications: Experience in private markets, alternative investments, or global funds; familiarity with a CMA-regulated environment.
