Key Responsibilities

As a Sealer Manual Application Technician at Lucid Motors, your core responsibilities will include:

• Sealant Application: Accurately apply sealants to vehicle components, including but not limited to body seams, underbody coatings, and electrical enclosures, following strict engineering specifications and safety protocols.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of applied sealants to identify any defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from quality standards, ensuring compliance with Lucid Motors’ rigorous quality control measures.
• Process Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and quality assurance specialists, to identify opportunities for process improvements, enhance efficiency, and reduce waste in sealant application procedures.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of sealant application activities, including batch numbers, application times, and inspection results, in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
• Safety and Housekeeping: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment to ensure the well-being of yourself and your colleagues.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance on sealant application tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent operational disruptions.
• Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training programs to stay updated on the latest sealant technologies, application techniques, and industry best practices, contributing to your professional growth and the company’s success.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional vocational training or certification in automotive manufacturing, sealant application, or a related field is highly desirable. Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, particularly in sealant application or quality control, is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to ensure accurate sealant application. Familiarity with manual application tools and automated sealant systems is a plus.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to precision, ensuring that every component meets the highest quality standards before proceeding to the next stage of production.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs) as needed. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential for operating tools and equipment effectively.
• Teamwork and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across various departments, including production, engineering, and quality assurance. Clear and concise communication is critical for reporting issues and suggesting improvements.
• Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges, with the ability to troubleshoot issues related to sealant application and recommend corrective actions.
