Role Overview
The Building Management Systems (BMS) Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, configuring, implementing, and maintaining advanced building management systems and control solutions. This full-time, on-site position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires hands-on expertise to ensure the efficient, safe, and reliable operation of critical facility infrastructure. The engineer will be responsible for monitoring system performance, diagnosing technical challenges, and optimizing building services such as HVAC, lighting, and energy management. Collaboration with project managers, ICT specialists, and external vendors will be essential to integrate BMS solutions seamlessly with broader digital infrastructure. Additionally, the role encompasses the preparation of technical documentation, provision of expert support, and adherence to industry standards and local regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- System Design & Configuration: Develop and implement BMS solutions tailored to client requirements, ensuring alignment with operational and sustainability goals.
- Installation & Integration: Oversee the deployment of BMS components, including sensors, actuators, controllers, and communication protocols such as BACnet/IP, Modbus, and KNX, while integrating with existing infrastructure.
- Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor system performance, identify inefficiencies, and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and enhance reliability.
- HVAC & Energy Optimization: Leverage expertise in HVAC systems, Direct Digital Control (DDC) controllers, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) to optimize energy consumption and operational efficiency.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, including control schematics, point schedules, and I/O drawings, while ensuring adherence to local regulations and industry standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a technical liaison between internal teams, clients, and external vendors to facilitate seamless project execution and post-implementation support.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
