About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our patient-focused dental practice in Jiddah. In this full-time, on-site position, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional oral healthcare services by providing comprehensive support to our dental practitioners during examinations and procedures. Your responsibilities will include preparing treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are readily available, and maintaining a clean, organized, and sterile environment. Key Responsibilities

• Patient Support and Comfort: Assist in seating and preparing patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns they may have. Provide clear pre- and post-treatment instructions to promote understanding and adherence to care plans.
• Clinical Assistance: Work closely with dental practitioners to facilitate smooth and efficient procedures. This includes handling chairside tasks, passing instruments, and ensuring the dentist has everything needed to deliver high-quality care.
• Infection Control and Sterilization: Maintain rigorous sterilization and infection control protocols in accordance with clinical and safety standards. This includes properly disinfecting instruments, preparing treatment rooms, and adhering to all regulatory requirements to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Record Keeping and Communication: Accurately update and maintain patient records, including medical and dental histories, treatment notes, and follow-up instructions. Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient flow and continuity of care.
• Patient Education: Support patients in understanding oral health best practices, preventive care measures, and post-treatment guidelines. Foster a welcoming and respectful atmosphere that encourages open communication and trust.
• Operational Efficiency: Contribute to the smooth operation of the dental practice by organizing supplies, managing inventory, and assisting with administrative tasks as needed. Your role is essential in maintaining a professional and efficient clinical environment.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess a combination of technical expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Education and Certification: A diploma or certification in dental assisting or a related field is preferred. Relevant local licensing or registration, as required by Saudi Arabian regulations, is a must.
• Clinical Experience: Prior experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar healthcare role within a dental clinic is highly advantageous. Familiarity with common dental procedures and chairside support techniques is essential.
• Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of sterilization protocols, infection control standards, and dental equipment operation is required. Experience with digital record-keeping systems is a plus.
• Communication and Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse clinical team and interact professionally with patients of all ages. Strong interpersonal skills are critical for building rapport and ensuring a positive patient experience.
