Master Data Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Master Data Specialist to join our team and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of our master data across multiple enterprise systems, including ERP and CRM platforms. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality data records, supporting data migration initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish and enforce data management best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong aptitude for data analysis, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to communicate complex data concepts effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and Update Master Data: Accurately manage and update master data records within ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems to ensure alignment with business requirements and regulatory standards.
• Ensure Data Integrity: Conduct regular audits, validations, and quality checks to identify discrepancies, resolve data anomalies, and maintain the highest standards of data accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with IT, finance, operations, and other departments to gather, validate, and document data requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance needs.
• Support Data Migration and Cleanup: Assist in data migration projects, including cleansing, deduplication, and validation, to ensure seamless transitions and minimize disruptions to business operations.
• Develop and Document Processes: Create, refine, and document master data management processes, workflows, and best practices to enhance efficiency, scalability, and compliance across the organization.
• Provide Training and Support: Deliver training sessions and provide ongoing support to end-users on master data standards, procedures, and tools, fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.
• Monitor and Resolve Data Issues: Proactively identify and address data quality issues, implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks and minimize business impact while maintaining data integrity.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

• Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience in master data management, data administration, or a related field, or a diploma in data management, business administration, or a related discipline.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, and PivotTables, to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reporting efficiency.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy, with the ability to analyze complex datasets and identify trends, anomalies, or inconsistencies.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders across diverse departments and levels of the organization.
• Organizational Abilities: Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving business needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Additional Assets: Familiarity with data cleansing, validation tools, or enterprise data management software is considered a plus and may provide a competitive edge in the selection process.
