Role Overview

The Cost Controller at ICAD-KSA will serve as a critical financial steward for large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring strict adherence to budgets and contractual obligations. This full-time, on-site position is based in Jeddah and requires a meticulous professional capable of monitoring, analyzing, and reporting project costs with precision. The Cost Controller will be responsible for tracking expenditures, preparing accurate cost forecasts, and supporting monthly financial reporting to provide actionable insights for project stakeholders. By identifying cost variances and potential risks, the role contributes to proactive decision-making and resource optimization. Collaboration with project managers, finance teams, and procurement will be essential to validate cost data, streamline processes, and enhance financial controls. Additionally, the Cost Controller will play a key role in developing and refining cost control procedures and tools tailored to the complexities of large-scale infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Monitoring and Analysis: Track and analyze project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets and contractual terms, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to support monthly financial statements and project reviews.
• Collaboration and Validation: Work closely with project managers, finance teams, and procurement to validate cost data, assess financial impacts, and optimize resource allocation.
• Risk Identification: Proactively identify cost-related risks and inefficiencies, providing recommendations to mitigate financial exposure and enhance project profitability.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and enhancement of cost control procedures, tools, and systems to improve accuracy and efficiency in financial management.
• Stakeholder Communication: Present financial insights and cost-related findings to cross-functional teams, ensuring transparency and alignment with project objectives.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a strong foundation in cost control, cost management, and cost accounting, complemented by advanced analytical skills to interpret financial and project data. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with relevant ERP or financial systems are essential for accurate data management and reporting. A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field is required, with a preference for candidates with experience in construction, infrastructure, or large-scale project environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Professional certifications such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are advantageous and will be considered a plus.
