Position Overview

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Design Engineers (Electrical & Mechanical) specializing in Dry Type and Cast Resin Transformers to join our dynamic team in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for the following core duties:

• Electrical Design: Develop and optimize electrical designs for dry type and cast resin transformers, ensuring compliance with international standards such as IEC, ANSI, and IEEE. Conduct detailed calculations for transformer parameters, including voltage regulation, efficiency, and losses.
• Mechanical Design: Create robust mechanical designs for transformer components, including core, winding, tank, and cooling systems. Utilize advanced CAD software to produce detailed drawings and 3D models, ensuring structural integrity and manufacturability.
• Simulation and Analysis: Perform electromagnetic and thermal simulations using industry-leading software (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar) to validate design performance under various operating conditions. Analyze simulation results to identify potential improvements and mitigate risks.
• Prototyping and Testing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop prototypes and oversee testing procedures to ensure transformers meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements. Document test results and recommend design modifications as necessary.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to relevant safety, environmental, and industry regulations, including fire safety standards, RoHS, and local Saudi Arabian regulations. Prepare technical documentation for certification and approval processes.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to streamline the design-to-production transition. Provide technical support during the manufacturing phase to address any design-related challenges.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in transformer design. Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance product performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) are advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: Profound knowledge of transformer design principles, electromagnetic theory, and thermal management. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS Maxwell, COMSOL Multiphysics).
• Industry Standards: Familiarity with international standards for transformers, including IEC 60076, ANSI C57.12, and IEEE C57.12.10. Understanding of fire safety standards such as UL 94 and IEC 60695.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in transformer design, with a focus on dry type and cast resin transformers. Experience in the Middle East or similar industrial environments is preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
