T&I Engineer – Maintenance

About the Role

JIGPC is seeking a seasoned Turnaround & Inspection (T&I) Engineer to join our Maintenance team at one of the region’s most advanced energy and industrial facilities. This pivotal role is designed for experienced professionals who are committed to driving operational excellence through meticulous planning, coordination, and execution of turnaround and inspection activities. As a T&I Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective plant outages while enhancing reliability, compliance, and overall operational performance. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our facilities and supporting JIGPC’s mission of delivering world-class energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic and high-impact position, you will be responsible for the following core duties:

• End-to-End Turnaround & Inspection Leadership: Oversee the entire lifecycle of turnaround and inspection projects, from initial planning to final execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• Strategic Planning & Scheduling: Develop comprehensive outage schedules, detailed work scopes, and robust execution plans that optimize resource utilization and minimize downtime.
• Regulatory & Safety Compliance: Ensure all inspection and maintenance activities strictly adhere to regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and company standards, fostering a culture of operational integrity and risk mitigation.
• Risk Management: Maintain and update turnaround risk registers, proactively identifying potential hazards and implementing mitigation strategies to safeguard personnel, assets, and operational continuity.
• Cost Optimization: Monitor turnaround expenditures with a keen eye for efficiency, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the central point of contact for contractors, suppliers, materials procurement, equipment logistics, and site resources, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment across all parties.
• Pre-Shutdown & Pre-Fabrication Oversight: Lead pre-shutdown preparations and pre-fabrication activities to guarantee operational readiness and minimize delays during critical outage periods.
• Post-Turnaround Reporting: Compile detailed post-turnaround reports and maintain accurate maintenance records to support continuous improvement and regulatory audits.
• Process Improvement: Champion innovative methodologies and best practices in turnaround and inspection processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and long-term asset performance.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must meet the following professional and educational requirements:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related technical field from an accredited institution.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in turnaround planning and execution within industrial plants, power generation facilities, oil & gas refineries, petrochemical plants, or similar high-reliability environments.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of turnaround planning tools, inspection management systems, maintenance planning methodologies, and shutdown execution strategies.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA, ISO standards, and asset management practices, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
• Certifications (Preferred): Professional certifications such as API, ASME, PMP, OSHA, or NEBOSH are highly advantageous and demonstrate your commitment to excellence and safety.
• Industry-Specific Experience: Prior experience in gasification or power production facilities is particularly desirable, aligning with JIGPC’s core operational focus.
