The Heart of House Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting various hotel functions. In our resorts, these associates may work across multiple departments (e.g., kitchen, food & beverage, laundry) to support cleaning efforts. From preparing clean linens and tableware for guests to operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools (e.g., dishwashers, washers, dryers); or transporting linens and tableware throughout the resort, these associates do whatever it takes to achieve our goals.

Regardless of their role, there are several fundamental aspects that support success: creating a safe work environment; adhering to company policies and procedures; maintaining quality standards; and ensuring professionalism in uniform, personal appearance, and communication at all times. Additionally, meeting and maintaining quality expectations, developing and maintaining positive work relationships with other employees and departments, supporting the team to achieve common goals, and responding appropriately to employee concerns are key. Reporting accidents, damages, and hazardous conditions to the manager, and being willing to perform various tasks (moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and placing objects weighing less than 50 pounds without assistance) are also essential.
