Key Responsibilities

• Leadership and Management: Provide strong leadership to a team of electrical engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop talent to enhance team performance and technical capabilities.
• Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of electrical engineering projects, including system upgrades, installations, and maintenance activities. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Technical Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including power distribution, automation, control systems, and renewable energy integration, to optimize farming operations. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
• Safety and Compliance: Champion a safety-first culture by ensuring all electrical systems and operations adhere to local and international safety standards, including NFPA, IEC, and OSHA regulations. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to mitigate hazards and prevent incidents.
• Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage annual budgets for electrical engineering projects, allocating resources effectively to maximize ROI. Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and senior management, to align electrical engineering initiatives with business objectives. Serve as a technical advisor to stakeholders on matters related to electrical infrastructure and energy management.
• Sustainability Initiatives: Drive the adoption of energy-efficient technologies and renewable energy solutions to reduce the carbon footprint of farming operations. Implement strategies to enhance energy conservation and support Almarai’s sustainability goals.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE, or CEng) are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role within the agricultural, industrial, or energy sector. Experience in farming operations is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, motor control, PLC programming, SCADA systems, and renewable energy technologies. Familiarity with CAD software and project management tools is essential.
• Leadership and Soft Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in both English and Arabic is preferred.
• Certifications: Valid professional engineering license or equivalent certification is a plus.
