Nurse

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, on-site role is integral to maintaining the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees and passengers. The Nurse will deliver comprehensive medical care, including routine health assessments, emergency response, and occupational health services, while adhering to aviation and regulatory standards. This position requires a proactive approach to patient care, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Medical Care and Emergency Response: Provide immediate and ongoing medical care to employees and passengers, including health assessments, basic treatments, and appropriate referrals. Respond swiftly to medical emergencies in compliance with airline and regulatory protocols.
• Health Monitoring and Record Keeping: Conduct daily health checks, maintain accurate and confidential medical records, and support fitness-for-duty evaluations to ensure compliance with occupational health standards.
• Occupational Health and Safety: Promote and enforce health and safety protocols within the workplace, including infection prevention and control measures. Educate staff on health-related best practices and contribute to a culture of wellbeing.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with aviation and ground operations teams to manage medical incidents, coordinate with external healthcare providers, and ensure seamless communication during emergencies.
• Supply and Equipment Management: Maintain and manage medical supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and readiness for all medical scenarios. Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to prevent shortages.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with local and international health regulations, ensuring all practices align with legal and organizational standards. Participate in audits and inspections as required.
• Health Education and Outreach: Develop and deliver health education programs tailored to the needs of employees and passengers. Address common health concerns and provide guidance on preventive care.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education and Licensure: Valid nursing license or registration, along with a recognized nursing qualification such as a diploma or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Clinical Experience: Proven experience in emergency, occupational, or general nursing, with a preference for candidates with a background in aviation, travel, or transport-related settings.
• Certifications and Skills: Strong assessment, triage, and basic life support (BLS) skills are essential. Advanced life support (ACLS) certification is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of occupational health practices, infection prevention and control, and medical documentation standards. Ability to maintain accurate records and handle confidential information with discretion.
• Communication and Cultural Competency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact sensitively and effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
• Organizational and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases, maintain medical supplies, and respond promptly to urgent situations. Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions in fast-paced environments.
• Team Collaboration: Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with operations, HR, and external medical providers to achieve common goals.
• Work Environment and Flexibility: Willingness to work on-site in Jeddah with a shift-based schedule aligned with airline operations. Proficiency in Arabic and/or English is required; additional regional language skills are considered an asset.
