Join Kyowa Kirin International plc as a Patient Journey Manager (KSA) based in Abha, Saudi Arabia, and become a pivotal figure in transforming the patient experience within the Rare Disease portfolio. At Kyowa Kirin International (KKI), we are driven by a singular purpose: to make people smile. This mission extends beyond drug discovery and development—it encompasses a deep commitment to embedding care into every aspect of our work. By understanding the needs of patients, their families, and healthcare professionals, we empower our team to take bold, innovative actions that deliver life-changing solutions with urgency and precision. Our culture is defined by four core values: Teamwork, Commitment to Life, Innovation, and Integrity. These values propel us to push boundaries, achieve extraordinary impact, and create a workplace where excellence thrives.

Job Purpose

As the face of KKI in your region, you will serve as the single point of contact for healthcare professionals (HCPs) and associated stakeholders. In this field-based role, you will act as a dynamic omnichannel conductor, leveraging an intimate knowledge of the entire patient journey to deliver a personalized, high-value customer experience. Your mission is to shorten the patient journey, improve outcomes, and align all initiatives with KKI’s Rare Disease portfolio. You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to co-create and orchestrate initiatives that drive high-quality scientific exchange, optimize the impact of KKI products, and ultimately benefit patients—fulfilling our promise to make people smile.

Key Responsibilities

In this strategic and customer-centric role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Strategic Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for HCPs and stakeholders, serving as an ambassador for Kyowa Kirin within your assigned geography.
    • Implement local strategies aligned with Cluster and International objectives, ensuring seamless execution of the Patient and Customer Plan (PCP).
    • Develop business account strategies grounded in practical field insights, applying the company’s vision to create robust territory business plans.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Payer Value & Patient Access teams to embed projects and plans into the overall brand strategy.
  • Patient Journey Expertise and Innovation:
    • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the entire patient journey, enabling you to innovate and partner on interventions at any touchpoint that shorten time to diagnosis for patients.
    • Serve as a trusted expert within cross-functional teams, providing guidance on patient-centric initiatives and solutions.
    • Apply scientific and clinical knowledge in Nephrology and/or Haematology Oncology, along with expertise in KKI products, to facilitate confident and informed discussions with stakeholders.
  • Omnichannel Engagement and Execution:
    • Orchestrate and implement an omnichannel engagement strategy that leverages KKI’s assets and content, tailored to HCP preferences and personalized value propositions.
    • Achieve sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) by developing and executing local account plans aligned with core strategic objectives.
    • Project manage initiatives to deliver patient-focused outcomes, ensuring adherence to agreed budgets and timelines.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management and Network Development:
    • Identify, develop, engage, and maintain professional relationships with external stakeholders, including key treatment centers, clinicians, and medical experts.
    • Map centers of expertise and build networks that reflect the entire patient journey, partnering with HCPs to provide solutions that benefit customers, patients, and KKI.
    • Articulate clinical data and economic value models to local payers and stakeholders, supporting evidence-based arguments for the adoption of KKI products in their accounts.
    • Collaborate with the Payer Value & Patient Access (PV&PA) organization to ensure access to KKI products and contribute to achieving appropriate positions in national and local guidelines and formularies.
  • Policy Influence and Industry Insight:
    • Demonstrate a working understanding of health policy, rare disease landscapes, and the pharmaceutical industry environment, identifying levers for influencing policy change.
    • Proactively communicate insights and intelligence gathered from Key External Experts (KEEs) and other stakeholders to shape and refine strategic initiatives.
