Site Supervisor / Foreman

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Supervisor / Foreman to lead and oversee construction activities on-site, ensuring that all operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in strict adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and timelines. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing labor teams, coordinating with engineers and subcontractors, and maintaining seamless day-to-day site operations. This position requires a proactive leader with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Leadership and Supervision: Direct and supervise daily construction activities, ensuring that all tasks are performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements. Manage both skilled and unskilled labor teams to maximize productivity and maintain high performance standards.
• Project Coordination and Communication: Act as the primary liaison between site teams, engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Facilitate clear and consistent communication to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Conduct regular inspections to verify that work meets project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory compliance. Address any deviations promptly to maintain quality and avoid rework.
• Safety and Environmental Stewardship: Enforce rigorous health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols across the site. Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings to cultivate a culture of safety awareness and prevent incidents.
• Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress against established milestones and deadlines. Prepare and submit daily reports on manpower, equipment, material usage, and any challenges encountered, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Resource and Waste Management: Monitor material usage to minimize waste and optimize resource allocation. Maintain organized and clean site conditions to enhance efficiency and safety.
• Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Identify and resolve on-site issues swiftly, making informed decisions to keep projects on track. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions and prevent recurring problems.
• Inspections and Handover Support: Assist in conducting inspections, testing, and commissioning activities. Support the project handover process by ensuring all deliverables meet contractual and quality requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess a blend of formal education and hands-on experience in construction supervision. A diploma or technical certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field is preferred. However, candidates with a high school diploma and at least five years of progressive construction supervision experience will also be considered.

Candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience in construction site operations, with at least five years specifically in a Site Supervisor or Foreman capacity on building, infrastructure, or industrial projects. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and method statements is essential.

Preferred Certifications and Qualifications
