Merchandiser

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This role is exclusively open to Saudi nationals and is available across multiple key locations, including Jeddah, Riyadh, and Abha. As a Merchandiser, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring product availability, maintaining high in-store standards, and driving brand visibility across assigned retail outlets. Your expertise in merchandising fundamentals and retail execution will be instrumental in optimizing shelf presence and enhancing customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

The Merchandiser will be responsible for executing a range of merchandising activities to support our Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) operations. Your core duties will include:

• Route Execution: Conduct merchandising activities across assigned retail outlets and follow predefined route plans to ensure consistent coverage and execution.
• Product Availability & Stock Management: Monitor product availability, perform shelf replenishment, and maintain First-In-First-Out (FIFO) stock rotation to prevent obsolescence and ensure freshness.
• Planogram & Display Compliance: Implement and maintain planograms, brand blocks, Point-of-Sale Materials (POSM), and secondary displays to maximize brand visibility and drive sales.
• Pricing & Execution Standards: Ensure pricing accuracy across all outlets and uphold high in-store execution standards to reflect brand integrity and customer expectations.
• Store Hygiene & Brand Visibility: Maintain shelf cleanliness, product organization, and overall brand presence to create an appealing shopping environment for customers.
• Competitor & Market Monitoring: Identify and report out-of-stock situations, competitor activities, and market trends to inform strategic decision-making within the sales and marketing teams.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams to address in-store issues, resolve discrepancies, and ensure seamless execution of merchandising strategies.
• Data Capture & Reporting: Accurately record execution details, store visits, and merchandising activities using handheld systems or PDA devices to provide real-time insights and support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• A High School Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of one year of hands-on experience in merchandising, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• A solid understanding of merchandising fundamentals, retail execution, and in-store operations.
• Familiarity with the Saudi FMCG market and its dynamics, including consumer preferences and retail trends.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with store managers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong punctuality and follow-up skills to ensure timely execution of tasks and adherence to schedules.
• Willingness to travel within assigned areas to cover multiple retail outlets as part of the route plan.
