Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Driver to join our Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient packing, loading, and transportation of shipments using medium and heavy trucks. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism, ensuring that all deliveries are completed in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Pack and load shipments securely and efficiently to prevent damage during transit.
• Operate medium and heavy trucks to transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate shipments and resolve any issues.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of assigned vehicles, both inside and out.
• Follow all company protocols for handling hazardous materials, if applicable.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience in a similar role.
• Valid Heavy Driving License with a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items, as well as operate loading equipment when necessary.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet delivery deadlines.
• Proficiency in written English is a valuable asset for effective communication and documentation.
• Willingness to undergo background checks as part of the hiring process.

Work Environment

This position involves a combination of indoor and outdoor work, with the majority of time spent driving and handling shipments. The Driver will be required to work in various weather conditions and may need to operate vehicles during extended hours or overnight, depending on delivery schedules. The role demands a high level of physical stamina and attention to detail to ensure the safe and efficient transport of goods.
