Maintenance Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Alkhair Coffee Factory in Jeddah. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of our production and packaging equipment. Your expertise in preventive and corrective maintenance will play a vital role in minimizing downtime, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting our continuous improvement initiatives. As a key contributor to our manufacturing operations, you will troubleshoot equipment failures, perform repairs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on production lines to ensure seamless operations and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and execute timely repairs to restore functionality and maintain productivity.
• Equipment Installation and Commissioning: Support the installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery, ensuring it meets operational and safety standards before full integration into production processes.
• Performance Monitoring and Reliability Improvement: Continuously monitor machine performance, analyze operational data, and implement corrective actions to enhance equipment reliability and longevity.
• Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement: Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement projects to optimize equipment efficiency and reduce waste.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety protocols, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
• Documentation and Coordination: Maintain accurate maintenance records, update logs, and coordinate with production, quality, and procurement teams to align maintenance schedules with operational demands.
• Spare Parts Management: Assist in managing spare parts inventory, identifying critical components, and ensuring timely procurement to minimize disruptions in maintenance activities.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience: Fresh graduates or candidates with up to two years of relevant experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial environments are encouraged to apply.
• Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, along with familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), sensors, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), or industrial automation technologies is highly desirable.
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues.
• Teamwork and Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
• Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to ensure clear and effective communication in a professional setting.
• Adaptability and Hands-On Approach: Willingness to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment, perform hands-on tasks, and adapt to evolving operational challenges.
