Position Overview

As a Merchandiser (JED), you will play a pivotal role in driving product excellence and maximizing sales performance within key retail accounts across Jeddah. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure optimal product visibility, availability, and adherence to merchandising standards, thereby contributing to the achievement of sales and category objectives. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic retail environment, supporting in-store activations, monitoring market trends, and delivering actionable insights to the commercial team.

Key Responsibilities

The Merchandiser (JED) will be tasked with the following core responsibilities:

• Store Execution and Compliance: Conduct regular visits to assigned retail accounts to ensure products are properly displayed, priced, and stocked in accordance with planograms and Must Stock Lists. Maintain high standards of product visibility and availability to enhance customer engagement and drive sales.
• In-Store Activations: Plan, execute, and support Below-The-Line (BTL) activations and promotional activities to boost product presence and consumer interaction. Collaborate with retail teams to ensure seamless execution of product launches and seasonal campaigns.
• Data Reporting and Analysis: Accurately report sell-in and sell-out data to the Category Manager, providing real-time insights into product performance. Monitor stock levels to prevent out-of-stock situations and coordinate with the sales team to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Market and Competitor Insights: Gather and analyze market intelligence, including competitor activities and consumer trends, to inform strategic decision-making. Provide actionable recommendations to enhance product positioning and market share.
• Product Management: Ensure proper product rotation and compliance with food safety standards to maintain product integrity and freshness. Address any merchandising gaps or discrepancies promptly to uphold brand reputation and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following skills:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in retail merchandising, with a proven track record in fresh food, dry food, and seafood categories. Prior experience in a similar role within the Jeddah retail market is highly advantageous.
• Market Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the Jeddah retail landscape, including major modern trade retailers and their operational dynamics. Ability to navigate and leverage market opportunities to drive sales growth.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and reporting skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and retail partners.
• Personal Attributes: A proactive, energetic, and customer-oriented attitude with a passion for delivering results. Ability to manage daily store visits efficiently while maintaining high standards of professionalism and accountability.
• Additional Requirements: A valid Saudi driving license is preferred to facilitate mobility and timely store visits.
