Key Responsibilities

The Senior Specialist - Group Accounting will be responsible for overseeing and executing a wide range of accounting functions that are integral to the company’s financial health. Your core duties will include:

• Financial Reporting and Consolidation: Lead the preparation and consolidation of financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This includes managing intercompany reconciliations, eliminating intercompany transactions, and ensuring the integrity of consolidated financial data.
• Regulatory Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance policies. Stay abreast of evolving financial regulations and implement best practices to mitigate risks and enhance compliance across the organization.
• Process Optimization and Efficiency: Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance accounting processes, leveraging technology and innovative solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and digital transformation initiatives.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing clear and concise financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and executive teams, to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and professional growth. Lead by example to uphold the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and excellence within the team.
• Audit and Assurance Support: Coordinate with external auditors and internal audit teams to facilitate smooth and efficient audit processes. Provide comprehensive support during audits, ensuring all documentation and explanations are readily available and accurate.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a robust blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a passion for financial excellence. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CA is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role within a group accounting environment.
• Proven experience in financial consolidation, regulatory compliance, and process optimization within a multinational or large-scale organization.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with hands-on experience in tools such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capacity to mentor teams, drive performance, and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
