Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Petroleum Engineer to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. This role is critical to our operations, focusing on the optimization of oil and gas extraction processes while ensuring efficiency, safety, and sustainability. Key Responsibilities
- Reservoir Management: Develop and implement strategies to maximize hydrocarbon recovery from reservoirs, utilizing advanced simulation tools and data analysis to predict performance and optimize production rates.
- Well Design & Optimization: Design, evaluate, and enhance well completion techniques, including horizontal and multilateral drilling, to improve productivity and reduce operational risks.
- Production Engineering: Monitor and analyze production data to identify inefficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and implement solutions to enhance output while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Technical Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports, feasibility studies, and presentations for stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Collaboration & Innovation: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including geologists, drilling engineers, and field operations, to drive continuous improvement and adopt emerging technologies in petroleum engineering.
- Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to rigorous safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies to mitigate risks and promote sustainable operations.
Qualifications & Experience
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of five years of progressive experience in petroleum engineering, with a proven track record in reservoir management, well design, or production optimization.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software, such as Eclipse, Petrel, or CMG, for reservoir simulation and modeling.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards, local regulations, and industry practices is a plus.
