Senior QA/QC Engineer

Position Overview

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company, a leading entity in the construction and trading sector based in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA/QC Engineer to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance Leadership: Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive QA/QC plans and procedures tailored to each project, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and regulatory frameworks.
• Inspection and Compliance: Conduct regular inspections, audits, and testing of materials, workmanship, and processes to verify compliance with approved standards, specifications, and safety protocols.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of inspections, test results, and non-conformances, while preparing detailed reports for stakeholders, including corrective action plans where necessary.
• Team Collaboration: Lead and mentor a team of QA/QC professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and adherence to quality benchmarks.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify potential quality risks and implement proactive measures to mitigate them, ensuring minimal disruptions to project timelines and budgets.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between project teams, clients, and regulatory bodies, facilitating clear and timely communication regarding quality-related matters.
• Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of advancements in QA/QC methodologies, materials, and technologies, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, complemented by a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in QA/QC within the construction industry. Professional certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar credentials are highly desirable. Proficiency in QA/QC software tools, strong analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail are essential. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
