Threat Management Senior Analyst

Role Overview

As a Threat Management Senior Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the daily operations and management of client Threat Management platforms. This includes Anomali ThreatStream, Anomali Match, Tenable VA, and FortiSOAR. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless functioning of these critical security tools while maintaining robust incident and problem management processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Incident and Problem Management: Handle alerts and incidents generated from Threat Management platforms, conducting initial analysis and investigations to identify root causes and potential threats. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently and minimize operational disruptions.
• Platform Health and Maintenance: Perform regular health checks to assess the performance and stability of Threat Management tools. Execute patching activities to ensure systems are up-to-date with the latest security enhancements and compliance requirements.
• Service Quality Improvement: Contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for enhancement in processes, tools, and workflows. Work closely with stakeholders to implement best practices that drive operational excellence and deliver measurable value.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and regulatory standards by maintaining accurate documentation, conducting audits, and providing timely reports on platform performance and incident resolution.
• Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Act as a subject matter expert within the team, providing guidance and mentorship to junior analysts. Share insights and recommendations to strengthen the organization’s threat detection and response capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess a strong background in cybersecurity with hands-on experience in managing Threat Management platforms. Proficiency in Anomali ThreatStream, Anomali Match, Tenable VA, and FortiSOAR is essential. Additionally, you should demonstrate:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex security alerts and data.
• Experience in incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
• A proactive approach to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.
