Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Tender Management: Oversee the entire tendering lifecycle, from initial bid preparation to final submission, ensuring adherence to project requirements, regulatory standards, and company policies.
• Bid Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and legal departments, to develop comprehensive and competitive bids that highlight alfanar Electric’s technical and commercial strengths.
• Technical Evaluation: Assess technical proposals, specifications, and drawings to ensure alignment with project scope, feasibility, and compliance with industry best practices.
• Commercial Analysis: Conduct detailed cost assessments, pricing strategies, and financial evaluations to optimize bid competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners to gather requirements, clarify technical queries, and ensure seamless communication throughout the tendering process.
• Contract Compliance: Verify that all tender documents, including terms and conditions, meet legal and regulatory requirements, minimizing risks and ensuring smooth contract execution.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications in project management or tendering will be advantageous.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in tendering, bid management, or related roles within the utilities, energy, or construction sectors.
• Proven expertise in preparing, evaluating, and submitting tenders for large-scale utility projects, including power generation, transmission, or distribution.
• Strong understanding of contractual, legal, and regulatory frameworks governing utility projects in Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East region.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, IEC, and local regulatory requirements is essential.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and commercial concepts clearly and persuasively.
• Proficiency in tendering software and tools, such as SAP, Oracle, or specialized bid management platforms, is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal, is required to effectively engage with stakeholders and clients.
