Senior Planning Manager

Join a Leading International Engineering and Construction Organisation as a Senior Planning Manager in Riyadh

The organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Manager to lead project planning and scheduling activities from pre-construction to project completion. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, technically demanding projects within a high-performing project delivery environment.

• Lead project planning and scheduling activities from pre-construction to project completion.
• Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules across multiple disciplines.
• Implement and manage Earned Value Management (EVM) processes to monitor project performance, progress, and forecast outcomes.
• Provide schedule analysis, critical path assessments, and recovery plans as required.
• Produce accurate progress reports and present project performance to senior leadership and clients.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure programme alignment.
• Identify schedule risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies to support successful project delivery.
• Mentor and develop planning teams while driving planning best practice across projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of planning experience on large-scale engineering or construction projects.
• Proven experience as a Senior Planning Manager or Planning Manager on complex, multidisciplinary building projects.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Advanced Primavera P6 experience is essential.
• Excellent understanding of planning methodologies, project controls, and schedule risk analysis.
• Previous experience working for a recognised main contractor is highly desirable.
• Experience delivering mission critical, industrial, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or other technically complex construction projects would be advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
