About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Inspector to join our esteemed Project and Construction Management team based in Riyadh. This critical position is integral to our Infrastructure Division, focusing on the delivery of high-impact Civil Engineering and Transportation projects, including roads, highways, bridges, and urban tunnels. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in upholding the highest standards of quality assurance and control, ensuring that all works, materials, and documentation strictly comply with contractual requirements, approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and established quality procedures.

In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with discipline engineers, the QA/QC team, and contractors to foster a culture of right-first-time delivery and continuous improvement. Your expertise will be instrumental in verifying compliance across daily site activities, driving excellence in execution, and mitigating risks associated with non-conformance. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a passion for quality and a commitment to delivering exceptional infrastructure projects, we invite you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Site Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of site works in alignment with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and method statements. Document and file all inspection outcomes meticulously to ensure traceability and accountability.
  • Quality Documentation Verification: Review and validate the contractor’s quality documentation, including calibration certificates, materials approvals, test reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Corrective Action Requests (CARs), and as-built records. Ensure timely resolution and closure of findings to maintain project integrity.
  • Materials Management: Oversee the receiving, storage, and handling of materials to ensure full compliance with project specifications and approved submittals. Coordinate with Materials Inspectors and discipline engineers to address any discrepancies promptly.
  • Laboratory and Field Testing: Witness and/or review critical laboratory and field tests, such as concrete, asphalt, soils, and aggregates, to confirm adherence to project standards. Track test results and identify trends to proactively address potential issues.
  • Non-Conformance Management: Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective/preventive actions and site observations. Verify the implementation and effectiveness of corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Quality Audits and Surveillance: Support the QA/QC Engineer in conducting audits, surveillance activities, and quality meetings. Contribute to risk identification and mitigation strategies, particularly concerning workmanship and compliance with project standards.
  • Method Statement Review: Evaluate method statements and work procedures for clarity, safety, and quality controls. Ensure that hold points and inspection points are respected prior to advancing to the next phase of work.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely inspection logs, reports, and photographic evidence. Ensure full traceability of materials and tests to support audit trails and compliance verification.
  • Quality Culture Promotion: Engage with the supervision team and contractor crews to reinforce quality standards and best practices. Foster a collaborative environment that prioritizes excellence and continuous improvement.

Your Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Over 7 years of relevant experience in quality inspection within Civil/Infrastructure projects, preferably within a Project Management Consultancy (PMC), Project Management Contractor (PMC), or supervision environment.
  • Professional certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), CQA (Certified Quality Auditor), or MQM (Master Quality Manager) are highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English is essential, with proficiency in Arabic considered a valuable asset.
  • Exceptional communication, report writing, and teamwork skills, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities, autonomy, and technical rigor.
  • A demonstrated willingness to work in a multinational and dynamic environment, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive workplace.

Additional Requirements

  • A transferable Iqama is required for non-Saudi candidates.
  • Residency in Riyadh is mandatory.
  • Membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is required.
