Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Technician Lead – Golf, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of golf course operations, including:

• Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance and oversight to a team of technicians, ensuring all golf course maintenance activities align with industry best practices and Red Sea Global’s sustainability goals.
• Turf & Course Management: Implement and monitor advanced turf care programs, including irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and aeration, to maintain pristine playing surfaces year-round.
• Team Development & Training: Mentor and develop junior technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and professionalism within the team.
• Operational Planning: Develop and execute detailed maintenance schedules, equipment procurement strategies, and resource allocation plans to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and performance evaluations to ensure golf course conditions meet or exceed the expectations of players, guests, and stakeholders.
• Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including landscape architects, agronomists, and facility managers, to integrate golf course operations with broader project objectives. Prepare and present performance reports to senior leadership.
• Sustainability & Innovation: Champion eco-friendly practices, such as water conservation, organic turf treatments, and integrated pest management, to minimize environmental impact while maximizing course quality.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following:

• Education: A degree or diploma in Turf Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., GCSAA, STMA) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in golf course maintenance, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity. Experience in desert or arid climates is advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in golf course irrigation systems, turfgrass science, equipment operation, and maintenance software (e.g., GIS, CAD).
• Leadership & Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. A strong commitment to teamwork, safety protocols, and guest satisfaction.
• Certifications: Valid pesticide application license, OSHA safety certification, and familiarity with ISO standards are preferred.
