Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

As a Bartender at Edition Hotel, your primary duties will include:

• Beverage Preparation: Accurately measure and prepare drinks according to specified recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every serving. This includes crafting cocktails, pouring wine and champagne, and presenting beverages with precision and flair.
• Bar Setup and Maintenance: Set up, stock, and maintain the bar, bar units, tables, and equipment to meet operational standards. Ensure all tools, glassware, and supplies are clean, organized, and readily available. Prepare fresh garnishes and maintain adequate inventory levels of ice, glassware, and paper products.
• Guest Service: Provide attentive and personalized service to guests, anticipating their needs and preferences. Process payments efficiently using all accepted methods and ensure a seamless transaction experience. Maintain a welcoming and engaging demeanor, fostering a positive atmosphere for guests and colleagues alike.
• Cash Handling and Reporting: At the end of each shift, accurately count the bank, complete the designated cashier report, resolve any discrepancies, and secure the bank. Ensure all financial transactions are documented and compliant with company policies.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures. Report any accidents, injuries, or hazardous conditions to management immediately. Participate in safety training and obtain necessary certifications to maintain a secure work environment.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals, supporting a cohesive and high-performing team. Communicate effectively with staff to address concerns, share feedback, and contribute to a positive work culture.
• Physical Demands: This role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, as well as lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. You must be able to grasp, rotate, and manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights, navigate tight or elevated spaces, and perform tasks such as bending, twisting, or reaching overhead or below the knees.

Qualifications and Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a bar or beverage service role.
• Licenses/Certifications: None required.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Personal Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. Professional appearance, discretion, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment are essential.
