Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated MRI Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this critical role, you will operate advanced high-field-strength MRI equipment to produce precise and detailed radiographic images of specific anatomical regions. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting diagnostic procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining the highest standards of imaging quality. Key Responsibilities

• MRI Operation and Image Production: Execute complex tasks associated with the operation of high-field-strength MRI magnets and related systems to generate specialized radiographic images. Ensure optimal image quality while adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Patient Positioning and Safety: Accurately position patients for MRI scans using appropriate immobilization and protective equipment. Strictly comply with government regulations and institutional policies to safeguard both patients and staff during procedures.
• Pre-Scan Screening: Conduct thorough pre-procedure safety screenings to identify any contraindications or potential risks associated with MRI imaging. Ensure all patients meet safety criteria before initiating scans.
• Collaboration with Radiologists: Assist radiologists in performing diagnostic procedures, providing technical support, and ensuring seamless workflow during imaging sessions. Contribute to the development of new imaging protocols and techniques to enhance diagnostic accuracy.
• Radiological Procedures Support: Perform additional radiological duties as assigned, including the administration of contrast media via intravenous access when required. Operate power injectors to deliver contrast agents in accordance with established protocols.
• Image Evaluation and Quality Assurance: Assess MRI scans for technical quality, ensuring images meet diagnostic standards. Organize and label processed images appropriately, maintaining a systematic sequence of exposure records for clinical reference.
• Administrative and Scheduling Duties: Coordinate patient scheduling for MRI procedures, manage clerical functions, and maintain accurate records of all imaging sessions. Ensure efficient workflow and adherence to appointment timelines.
• Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues with MRI equipment, performing routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Report any malfunctions or required repairs to the appropriate department promptly.
• Patient Care and Comfort: Address the psychological and physical needs of patients throughout MRI procedures, providing reassurance and support as needed. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor to enhance patient experience.
• Confidentiality and Compliance: Uphold the integrity and privacy of all patient information in strict accordance with regulatory requirements. Failure to comply with confidentiality protocols may result in financial penalties and termination of employment.
• Staff Training and Development: Provide orientation and training for new technologists, sharing technical knowledge and best practices to foster professional growth within the team. Collaborate with senior staff to enhance departmental capabilities.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating efforts with radiologists, nurses, and administrative staff to deliver comprehensive patient care. Contribute to the development of innovative imaging techniques and protocols.
• Adherence to Standards: Ensure all procedures align with internationally recognized guidelines, including those set forth by the Joint Commission International (JCI). Maintain compliance with institutional policies and industry regulations to uphold the highest standards of care.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess an associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology, with a specialization in MRI. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or an equivalent credential is required. A minimum of two years of experience in MRI technology is preferred, along with a strong understanding of high-field-strength MRI systems and contrast administration protocols. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
