Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planning Engineer III to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Planning Engineer to develop, maintain, and optimize project schedules, ensuring seamless coordination across all stakeholders. Your responsibilities will encompass schedule preparation and updates, progress monitoring, reporting, and supporting baseline preparations to drive project success. Key Responsibilities

The Planning Engineer III will be responsible for the following core duties and activities:

• Schedule Preparation & Updating: Develop, refine, and maintain comprehensive project schedules in accordance with established procedures using Primavera P6. Ensure schedules are aligned with project milestones and contractual obligations.
• Look-Ahead Planning: Prepare and execute detailed look-ahead construction plans across multiple disciplines to anticipate potential bottlenecks and mitigate risks. Collaborate with site teams to ensure alignment with long-term project goals.
• Progress Monitoring: Conduct regular site visits to verify progress against scheduled timelines. Monitor the performance of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring adherence to contractual commitments and identifying deviations early for corrective action.
• Reporting & Documentation: Generate and distribute accurate, timely, and insightful daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal project teams and external clients. Highlight key progress metrics, risks, and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
• Project Progress Calculation: Utilize advanced software tools to calculate and analyze project progress, ensuring data integrity and alignment with baseline schedules. Provide recommendations for schedule optimization where necessary.
• Baseline & Resource Management: Collect and analyze critical data for baseline updates, including resource utilization, manpower allocation, commodity installation rates, and progress curves. Support the preparation of resource-loaded schedules to enhance project efficiency.
• Baseline & Claim Preparation Assistance: Assist in the development of project baselines and support the preparation of time-based claims, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and industry standards.

Job Specifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and requirements:

• Industry Experience: Minimum of 4–6 years of relevant experience in Planning, Project Planning and Control, or Construction, with a proven track record in project scheduling and progress management.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or a related field. Advanced certifications in project management or scheduling are advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel, with a deep understanding of scheduling techniques, progress monitoring methodologies, and reporting frameworks.
• Analytical & Communication Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities to interpret complex project data, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills to present findings to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and clients.
• Problem-Solving: A proactive mindset with the ability to identify potential risks and propose effective solutions to keep projects on track and within budget.
