Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Xray Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating advanced radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities

• Patient Verification and Preparation: Confirm patient identities and review physicians’ orders prior to conducting x-ray procedures. Provide clear explanations of the imaging process to patients, address their concerns, and obtain informed consent before proceeding.
• Radiographic Imaging: Operate x-ray equipment to capture precise radiographic images of bones, tissues, and organs as directed by physicians. Position patients correctly, which may involve assisting individuals with limited mobility through careful lifting and movement.
• Radiation Safety and Quality Assurance: Implement radiation safety protocols by placing lead shields on patients to minimize exposure. Ensure the images produced meet diagnostic standards to avoid unnecessary repeat procedures, thereby enhancing efficiency and patient experience.
• Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine checks to confirm the x-ray equipment is in optimal working condition. Report any malfunctions or damage to management immediately to prevent disruptions in service. Stay abreast of technological advancements and adapt swiftly to new equipment and imaging techniques.
• Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with radiologists to evaluate preliminary findings and determine if additional diagnostic tests are necessary. Present radiographic images and preliminary interpretations to physicians to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain meticulous records of all completed x-ray procedures, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Adhere strictly to company policies, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines, including Joint Commission International (JCI) and CBAHI requirements. Safeguard patient information with the utmost integrity, as unauthorized disclosure may result in severe penalties, including contract termination.
• Team Coordination and Professional Conduct: Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver seamless patient care. Commit to scheduled duty hours, which include eight consecutive hours per shift, and report any absences, sickness, or emergencies to Radiology Administration promptly.
