QC Manager

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced QC Manager to oversee quality control operations within our mega-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in quality management within the construction sector, with a proven track record of successfully leading quality functions for large, complex, and high-impact projects. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to project quality compliance, implementing robust quality management systems, leading dynamic QC teams, and maintaining alignment with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving excellence, minimizing risks, and delivering superior outcomes in alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Compliance & Assurance: Develop, implement, and oversee quality management systems to ensure full compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory frameworks. Conduct regular inspections, audits, and assessments to identify and mitigate potential quality risks.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary QC team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure the team operates at peak efficiency.
• Process Optimization: Streamline quality control processes by identifying inefficiencies, implementing best practices, and leveraging innovative tools and methodologies to enhance productivity and accuracy.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to align quality objectives with project goals. Serve as a key liaison to address quality-related concerns and ensure seamless communication across all stakeholders.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, audit findings, and corrective actions. Prepare detailed reports for senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify potential quality risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent defects, rework, and delays. Ensure all quality-related issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications & Skills

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in quality management are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in quality management within the construction industry, with a focus on mega-scale projects. Prior experience as a QC Manager on Public Investment Fund (PIF) projects is highly desirable.
• Certifications: Certification in ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems or equivalent standards is required. Additional certifications in quality auditing or construction management are a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of construction quality standards, inspection protocols, audit procedures, and compliance requirements. Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools is preferred.
• Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following experience will enhance your candidacy:

• Hands-on experience with major developments, high-value projects, or large-scale construction programs.
• Familiarity with client-specific quality requirements and project governance processes.
• Exposure to international quality standards and best practices in construction quality management.
