Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the following core functions:
- Scientific Leadership and Insights: Act as the primary scientific resource for gastroenteritis-related topics, including disease state education, treatment trends, and product information. Engage in scientific discussions to identify unmet medical needs, emerging trends, and opportunities for innovation in therapeutic approaches. Provide strategic input to the Medical Affairs plan to align with both short-term and long-term company objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building: Systematically assess the scientific exchange needs of KOLs, investigators, and other healthcare stakeholders. Cultivate and maintain robust peer-to-peer professional relationships with thought leaders across academia, healthcare systems, payers, and government organizations. Ensure compliant and transparent communication of scientific data and product portfolios to meet the educational and professional needs of key customers.
- Medical Information and Education: Deliver high-impact presentations on clinical and disease state information to diverse audiences, including KOLs, formulary decision-makers, and healthcare professionals (HCPs). Provide therapeutic area training to internal teams, such as Sales and Medical Affairs, upon request. Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries from HCPs in a timely and compliant manner, escalating adverse events as per company policy.
- Study Support and Collaboration: Offer scientific liaison support to investigators involved in company-sponsored or investigator-sponsored research (ISR). Identify critical data gaps, facilitate ISR needs, and ensure alignment with Medical Affairs priorities. Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Marketing, Regulatory, and Global Medical Affairs teams to drive cohesive and compliant medical strategies.
- Compliance and Ethical Standards: Ensure all activities adhere to pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines, including SFDA regulations, the Code of Ethical Practices, and internal company policies. Maintain a thorough understanding of risk-benefit profiles of products and communicate this information responsibly to stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Education and Licensure: Hold an advanced degree in life sciences, such as a Bachelor of Pharmacy, MD, PhD, or equivalent. Must be licensed by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) as a practicing physician or pharmacist.
- Nationality and Experience: Must be a Saudi national, as mandated by SFDA regulations. A minimum of 3 years of field MSL experience within Saudi Arabia, with a proven track record of building credible relationships within the local scientific and medical community.
- Scientific and Communication Skills: Demonstrate exceptional ability to exchange complex scientific ideas with KOLs and colleagues. Exhibit confidence in presenting clinical and medical data to both small and large audiences, tailoring communication to diverse stakeholder needs.
- Therapeutic Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of inflammation-related conditions, with a strong preference for experience in gastroenterology. Ability to analyze and interpret scientific data to inform medical strategies and product positioning.
- Collaboration and Compliance: Exhibit strong cross-functional collaboration skills, working seamlessly with Commercial, Marketing, Regulatory, and Global Medical Affairs teams. Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in written and verbal English is essential to effectively engage with global and local stakeholders.
