Key Responsibilities

The Finance Manager will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our financial processes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Financial Operations Management: Oversee daily finance and accounting activities to ensure seamless execution and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Monthly Closing & Reporting: Lead the monthly financial closing process, preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Budget reports.
• Cash Flow & Working Capital: Monitor and manage cash flow, receivables, payables, and aging reports to maintain optimal liquidity and financial health.
• Cost & Profitability Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of product costing, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), landed cost, and gross margins. Evaluate profitability by SKU, customer, brand, and sales channel to identify high-value opportunities.
• Inventory Management: Analyze inventory turnover and its impact on profitability and cash flow. Ensure accurate valuation and reporting of inventory-related financial metrics.
• Commercial Deductions & Promotions: Review and assess promotions, rebates, discounts, and commercial deductions to ensure financial integrity and alignment with business objectives.
• Risk Mitigation: Provide early warnings on potential cash flow risks, financial discrepancies, or operational inefficiencies to enable proactive decision-making.
• System Management: Oversee the financial aspects of Zoho Books and Zoho Inventory, ensuring seamless integration and accurate financial data management.
• Strategic Reporting & Insights: Deliver clear, actionable financial reports and business insights to support management in making informed strategic decisions.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in finance or accounting, with a strong background in trading, distribution, FMCG, food products, or inventory-based businesses.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of inventory costing, cash flow management, receivables, payables, and profitability analysis.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools. Familiarity with accounting systems, particularly Zoho Books and Zoho Inventory, is a significant advantage.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as SOCPA, CMA, or ACCA are highly desirable but not mandatory.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional English language proficiency in reading and writing. Demonstrated ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership, accuracy, and attention to detail.
