Key Responsibilities
The Sales Specialist will play a pivotal role in the company’s growth strategy by performing the following duties:
- Business Development: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the MEP contracting market, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems. Proactively generate leads through targeted networking, cold outreach, industry events, and strategic referrals to expand the company’s client base.
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, developers, and facility managers. Act as a trusted advisor by understanding their unique requirements and aligning solutions to their project objectives.
- Proposal and Presentation Development: Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and proposals that effectively communicate the company’s capabilities, expertise, and value proposition. Tailor proposals to address specific client needs and project specifications.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with estimation, engineering, and project teams to ensure seamless alignment between client expectations and project execution. Provide critical insights to refine proposals and enhance competitiveness.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations on contracts, terms, and pricing in accordance with company policies and guidelines. Strive to secure mutually beneficial agreements that foster long-term partnerships while driving profitability.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify emerging opportunities and mitigate risks. Leverage this insight to inform strategic decision-making and maintain a competitive edge.
- Sales Performance Tracking: Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets while maintaining accurate records in the CRM system. Prepare detailed sales reports for management to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Database Management: Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date CRM database, documenting prospect and client interactions, project milestones, and follow-up actions to ensure efficient pipeline management.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of sales experience within the MEP contracting or construction industry, with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of MEP systems, project lifecycle stages, and tendering processes. Familiarity with local building codes and industry regulations is highly advantageous.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools is essential.
- Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required are mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be considered advantageous:
- An established network of contacts within the construction or real estate development sectors.
- Prior experience operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) market, with knowledge of local industry dynamics.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
