Key Responsibilities

• Cybersecurity and Risk Assessment: Develop and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, including conducting risk assessments, designing and implementing security controls, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Your deep understanding of cyber risk will be essential in protecting our systems and data from evolving threats.
• Network Security Management: Spearhead the configuration, monitoring, and optimization of network security infrastructure, including firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and secure network architectures. Your proficiency in network security will ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our communications and data transmissions.
• Application Security Oversight: Lead initiatives to enhance application security by promoting secure coding practices, conducting thorough code reviews, performing vulnerability scanning, and implementing protective measures for web and mobile applications. Your role will be instrumental in identifying and addressing security flaws before they can be exploited.
• Information Security Governance: Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, standards, and frameworks in accordance with recognized benchmarks such as ISO 27001 and NIST. Your expertise in governance will ensure that our security measures are both effective and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Utilize advanced security monitoring and incident response tools, including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and log management solutions. Your hands-on experience in threat detection, analysis, and remediation will be vital in minimizing the impact of security incidents and maintaining operational resilience.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with IT, development, and business teams to integrate security best practices into all aspects of our digital ecosystem. Your ability to articulate complex security concepts in clear, accessible language will facilitate informed decision-making and foster a security-first mindset across the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and hands-on experience in designing and implementing security controls. A deep understanding of network security, including the configuration and monitoring of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and secure network architectures, is essential. Additionally, your expertise in application security—spanning secure coding practices, code reviews, vulnerability scanning, and protection of web and mobile applications—will be critical in safeguarding our digital assets.

You should have a thorough knowledge of information security principles, standards, and frameworks, such as ISO 27001 and NIST, and the ability to develop and enforce security policies and governance structures. Proficiency in security monitoring and incident response tools, including SIEM, EDR, and log management systems, is required, along with practical skills in threat detection and remediation.

While certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or Security+ are preferred, equivalent practical experience will also be considered. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is required, though relevant experience may substitute for formal education. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate complex security concepts clearly, and support initiatives that drive secure digital transformation.
