Technical Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the critical link between our customers and the technical solutions we deliver, ensuring seamless communication and network optimization. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of presales and technical support activities, from designing and presenting tailored solutions to assisting in deployments and troubleshooting. By leveraging your expertise in telecommunications and RF technologies, you will play an instrumental role in supporting our Sales team, enhancing customer satisfaction, and driving the organization’s growth and competitiveness in the ever-evolving telecom market.

Key Responsibilities

The Technical Engineer will be accountable for the following core functions:

• Presales Technical Support: Collaborate closely with the Sales team to provide comprehensive technical assistance during customer meetings, presentations, solution demonstrations, and site surveys. Your insights will be vital in translating customer requirements into actionable technical solutions.
• Tender and Proposal Development: Support the preparation of tender responses, including RFI (Request for Information), RFP (Request for Proposal), and RFQ (Request for Quotation), by contributing technical documentation, compliance matrices, and detailed proposals. Your ability to craft compelling technical narratives will be essential in securing new business opportunities.
• Solution Design and Presentation: Design and present optimized technical solutions tailored to customer needs, including Indoor Active & Passive DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems), Base Station Antennas (BSA), Repeaters, RAN/ORAN solutions, and other advanced telecommunications technologies. Your expertise will ensure solutions are both innovative and feasible.
• Technical Documentation and Proposals: Prepare comprehensive technical proposals, solution architectures, and Bills of Materials (BOM) to support sales efforts and customer decision-making. Clarity and precision in your documentation will be paramount.
• Field Support and Deployment Assistance: Provide on-site technical assistance during trials, Proof of Concept (PoC) implementations, and full-scale deployments. Your hands-on involvement will ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Conduct in-depth product troubleshooting, fault analysis, and root cause investigations to resolve technical issues efficiently. Your problem-solving skills will minimize downtime and enhance system reliability.
• Training and Knowledge Sharing: Deliver technical training sessions and product workshops for customers and partners to ensure they fully understand and can effectively utilize our solutions. Your ability to simplify complex concepts will be highly valued.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with engineering and product teams at headquarters to resolve technical challenges, improve solution performance, and drive continuous innovation. Your insights will contribute to the evolution of our product offerings.
• Market and Technology Research: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, competitor products, and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge. Your proactive approach will inform strategic decision-making and solution development.
• Event Participation: Represent the company at exhibitions, customer visits, and technical meetings to showcase our solutions and strengthen client relationships. Your engagement will enhance our market presence and credibility.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a technical role, such as RF/Technical Solution Engineer, Presales Engineer, or a similar position within the telecommunications industry.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Active/Passive DAS, Repeaters, and other RF technologies. Familiarity with 2G/3G/4G/5G technologies and experience in commissioning and integrating IBS (In-Building Solutions) sites are highly desirable.
• Design and Simulation Tools: Proficiency in iBwave design software and experience with post-processing tools such as TEMS, Nemo, and TEMS Discovery. These skills will enable you to design and validate solutions effectively.
• Technical Communication: Exceptional ability to design and explain complex technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Your communication skills will bridge the gap between technical teams and customers.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel to create compelling presentations and detailed technical documentation.
• Language Requirements: Fluency in both English and Arabic is mandatory to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Travel and Collaboration: Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia as required to support customer engagements, site surveys, and deployments. Experience working with mobile operators, neutral host providers, and system integrators is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. A customer-focused attitude with excellent teamwork capabilities will ensure seamless collaboration and project success.
