Key Responsibilities

• Guest Room Maintenance: Perform thorough inspections and maintenance of guest rooms, ensuring all facilities are in optimal condition. This includes addressing any mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues promptly and efficiently.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks to identify potential issues before they escalate, thereby minimizing disruptions to guest stays and maintaining operational efficiency.
• Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems in guest rooms, such as malfunctioning appliances, HVAC systems, lighting, or plumbing. Ensure all repairs are completed to the highest standards and within designated timeframes.
• Housekeeping Coordination: Collaborate closely with the housekeeping team to ensure rooms are prepared to the highest cleanliness and presentation standards. Address any discrepancies or additional requests from guests in a timely manner.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and materials required for maintenance tasks. Report any shortages or needs for replenishment to the Engineering Manager.
• Compliance and Safety: Adhere strictly to safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations to ensure a secure working environment for both staff and guests. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and inspections.
• Guest Interaction: Respond professionally to guest inquiries or complaints related to room facilities. Provide courteous and efficient solutions to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service. The ideal candidate will have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent qualification; vocational training or certification in electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems is highly advantageous.
