Key Responsibilities

As an IT Systems Engineer in our Operations & Maintenance team, your core responsibilities will include:

• System and Infrastructure Management: Oversee the management and monitoring of all installed systems and infrastructure, proactively ensuring maximum availability and performance.
• Software and System Maintenance: Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools to meet operational demands.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor application performance to identify potential bottlenecks, collaborate with development teams to implement solutions, and optimize system efficiency.
• Vendor and Team Collaboration: Act as a liaison with vendors and other IT personnel to resolve technical issues efficiently and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Maintenance Execution: Adhere to the maintenance plan by performing preventive maintenance tasks, inspecting asset and spare part status, and executing corrective maintenance, including repairs and adjustments as required.
• Reporting and Documentation: Submit detailed maintenance checklist reports in accordance with work orders and maintenance plans, ensuring compliance and transparency.
• Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Utilize as-built documents, schematics, and other resources to troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with Systems ML1 engineers to resolve incidents and analyze root causes.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for a motivated professional with the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in IT-related roles, with a proven track record in system administration and maintenance.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix commands and SQL, along with hands-on experience in managing Windows and Linux servers.
• Application Expertise: Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows-based applications and monitoring systems.
• Directory Services: Familiarity with Active Directory and Domain Controller administration to support secure and efficient IT operations.
• Problem-Solving: Exceptional troubleshooting skills for complex technical incidents, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
