Information Technology Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Information Technology Project Manager to oversee and execute critical infrastructure and IT services operations projects within a dynamic banking environment. This pivotal role is instrumental in delivering high-availability, secure, and compliant IT systems that underpin seamless banking operations. Key Responsibilities

The Information Technology Project Manager will be responsible for the following core functions:

• Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans that define scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation for infrastructure and IT service operations projects. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and banking sector requirements.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate seamless collaboration between infrastructure teams, security, business units, compliance officers, and external vendors to ensure project objectives are met with precision and efficiency.
• Risk & Compliance Management: Oversee projects to ensure full compliance with banking regulations, cybersecurity protocols, and audit standards. Proactively identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard project outcomes.
• Service Operations Focus: Lead initiatives to enhance IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including incident, change, and problem management, in accordance with ITIL best practices to optimize operational efficiency.
• Infrastructure Project Delivery: Manage the deployment, upgrades, and migrations of hardware, software, cloud services, and networking infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption to banking operations.
• Reporting & Communication: Provide clear, timely, and accurate updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to project sponsors, steering committees, and senior leadership to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Vendor Oversight: Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure contract terms, deliverables, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met in strict alignment with banking-specific compliance guidelines and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of five years of experience in IT project management, with at least three years dedicated to the banking or financial services sector.
• Proven track record in managing IT infrastructure, operations, or service management projects.
• Hands-on experience with ITSM tools such as BMC Remedy and a solid understanding of the ITIL framework.
• Strong familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in financial institutions, including data protection, audit trails, and segregation of duties.
• A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills & Experience

While not mandatory, the following skills and experiences will enhance your candidacy:

• Direct experience with cloud migration, data center transformation, or endpoint security projects in a banking context.
• Exposure to cybersecurity standards and best practices, including frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST.
• Proficiency in Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies to adapt to evolving project needs.
• Experience navigating matrixed environments and coordinating across multiple business units and BT towers.
