Role Overview

The General Accountant plays a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of Flow’s operations across our Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) property portfolio. This position is instrumental in processing daily accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting the Senior Accountant and Financial Controller in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to uphold Flow’s commitment to financial transparency and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with ZATCA e-invoicing requirements prior to posting. Prepare and execute weekly payment runs to maintain healthy vendor relationships and support operational continuity.
• Vendor Management: Reconcile the AP sub-ledger to the general ledger on a monthly basis, resolving discrepancies and maintaining accurate, up-to-date vendor records to facilitate smooth financial operations.
• Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate and issue tenant and customer invoices promptly, ensuring all supporting documentation is attached. Record and apply incoming payments to the correct customer accounts with precision.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Leasing, Operations, and Legal teams to support collection efforts, address overdue balances, and resolve payment discrepancies efficiently.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Record daily journal entries, bank transactions, and month-end accruals to ensure the financial records are complete and accurate. Perform bank reconciliations and assist with monthly balance sheet account reconciliations to uphold financial integrity.
• Month-End Close Support: Contribute to the month-end close process by ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded, reconciliations are completed, and financial records are ready for reporting and analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• 1-3 years of hands-on general accounting experience, with a preference for candidates who have worked in real estate, property management, or a similar industry.
• Solid understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and familiarity with Saudi Arabian Value-Added Tax (VAT) and Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, reconciliations, and basic financial reporting capabilities.
• Exceptional communication skills in both English and Arabic, with the ability to articulate financial information clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
