Role Overview

As a Consultant - IAM Job, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and operating secure, scalable, and highly reliable platform engineering capabilities. Your responsibilities will encompass the integration of infrastructure services, identity and access management (IAM), and robust security controls to ensure operational excellence, compliance, and high availability across enterprise platforms. This role is instrumental in enabling efficient application development and deployment while supporting the organization’s strategic objectives through cutting-edge technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic and challenging position, you will be accountable for the following core functions:

• Platform Engineering & Enablement:

  Design, develop, and maintain internal platforms that streamline application development, deployment, and operational workflows. Empower development teams by providing standardized environments, automation tools, and self-service capabilities. Continuously enhance platform usability, performance, and scalability to align with evolving business demands and technological advancements.

• Infrastructure & Cloud Operations:

  Implement, manage, and optimize infrastructure services, including compute, storage, networking, and cloud platforms. Ensure infrastructure availability, scalability, and performance are consistently aligned with business requirements. Oversee infrastructure lifecycle activities, such as upgrades, patching, and refresh cycles, to maintain operational integrity and efficiency.

• System Reliability & Availability:

  Guarantee high availability and resilience of platforms through proactive monitoring, incident management, and maintenance. Develop and test business continuity (BCP) and disaster recovery strategies to ensure seamless operations during disruptions. Conduct regular health checks and performance tuning to optimize platform components and mitigate potential risks.

• Identity & Access Management (IAM):

  Administer IAM platforms, such as SailPoint, to manage identity lifecycle, provisioning, and role-based access control (RBAC). Implement robust access governance practices, including certification campaigns and access reviews, to maintain security and compliance. Integrate IAM solutions with enterprise systems, applications, and cloud services to ensure seamless and secure access management.

• Privileged Access & Security Operations:

  Support Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions, such as CyberArk, to secure and manage privileged accounts. Monitor and audit user and privileged activities to enforce compliance and mitigate security risks. Implement access control policies, including segregation of duties (SoD), to prevent conflicts of interest and ensure regulatory adherence.

• Automation & DevOps Enablement:

  Develop and maintain automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate deployment processes and reduce manual intervention. Enhance platform efficiency through infrastructure-as-code and automated provisioning. Champion DevOps practices to foster collaboration, improve delivery speed, and minimize operational overhead.

• Monitoring, Incident & Problem Management:

  Deploy and manage monitoring tools to track platform health, availability, and performance in real time. Respond promptly to incidents and service disruptions, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime. Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to enhance system reliability and resilience.

• Stakeholder Collaboration & Platform Integration:

  Collaborate closely with development teams, cybersecurity, and operations to integrate platforms seamlessly. Provide expert technical guidance to ensure secure and optimized platform usage across the enterprise. Support the implementation and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical operations.

• Policies, Processes & Procedures:

  Adhere to all departmental policies, processes, and standard operating procedures to maintain consistency and control in all operational activities. Comply with safety, quality, and environmental management policies to foster a healthy and secure work environment. Ensure adherence to information security practices and standards to protect data integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications & Professional Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess the following academic and professional qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in IAM, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), or cybersecurity are highly desirable.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing IAM solutions, including SailPoint, CyberArk, or similar platforms.
• Strong expertise in infrastructure-as-code, automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud operations, networking, and security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to incident management and system optimization.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
