As part of our strategic expansion in the Middle East, we are seeking a highly motivated Helix Regional Financial Controller to lead our financial operations in Saudi Arabia. This role is pivotal in driving the financial health and strategic growth of our Saudi Arabia Regional Headquarters (RHQ), ensuring compliance with local and international regulations while aligning financial strategies with our global business objectives. Your Role: A Strategic Partner in Financial Leadership

Reporting directly to the EMEA Regional Financial Controller, you will serve as the primary financial advisor to the RHQ leadership team, including the General Manager. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of financial management activities, with a focus on ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment. Key responsibilities include:

• Financial Governance and Compliance: Oversee the monthly and quarterly U.S. GAAP close process, ensuring adherence to corporate deadlines and reporting requirements. Lead the annual statutory accounts filing process, coordinating with external audit firms, tax advisors, and legal teams to maintain compliance with local and international standards.
• Strategic Financial Planning: Drive the budgeting and forecasting processes, delivering accurate financial projections and effective cost management strategies. Partner closely with the Corporate Finance team to align regional financial plans with global objectives.
• Operational and Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and delivery of operational and financial reports, providing actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping key business strategies and long-term success.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party service providers, including accounting, advisory, audit, and tax firms. Collaborate with the Helix EMEA Legal team to ensure corporate governance compliance and mitigate financial risks.
• Leadership and Development: As the finance lead for the Saudi Arabia RHQ, you will oversee the finance function, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. Your leadership will be critical in supporting the growth and scalability of our operations in the region.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking a results-driven finance professional with a proven track record in financial leadership, strategic planning, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with a focus on U.S. GAAP, statutory accounting, and compliance in a multinational corporate environment.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive financial initiatives in a fast-paced setting.
• Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a valuable asset.
